Blaster B1 Hood Carnage

Went out to the lake with P&P Performance (Phil) last week, I posted this up on wavejunkies but thought I would add it here too.

Tried a couple rolls off a 2 couch v-wake, almost landed one, came up a short on a few others, needless to say the hood didnt survive! Ski ended up sinking within about 30 seconds after the hood cracked open, wrote up a full story at http://www.wavejunkies.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8091

Ill be needing a hood and crank after the motor took in water and bent a rod :banghead:

Those couch riders failed to make a big enough v-wake and should have to pay for your damages !

Oh boy Zimmy you really did it good this time !

You need a carbon blaster hood !

Yeah I might have to down grade the motor, I'll see if I can bill Phill for a new hood! Shopping around for a hood now, it might end up with some carbon reinforcement this time. I had a pretty good run with this one though. I was looking at it in the garage the other night thinking "man, this thing has held up for a while, maybe I should patch it up to get a little more time out of it"...

I will be off the water at least until I can get the crank sorted out.... Bummed, had planned for the NJ ride and wave daze so we will have to see how it works out.

Landed a backup ski today to get me back on the water!
