Blaster B1 NO start!!

My buddy's blaster won't fire up! Just went riding surf ran fine, on the way back running wot it cut off, he instantly restarted no problem and did the same thing again when we got back to shore. Now it turns over but no start, checked easy stuff first. Lanyard, gas ON, battery connections, changed plugs, no water in cylinders/carbs, good spark. Now what??

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem, plugged filter or bad pump diaphram.

We did pour a little gas down the carb and cylinders, still nothing. If it was a fuel delivery problem shouldn't that have at least helped it choke sputter or something..

Stator get wet? Take the front cover off if you dont have spark. Did you check the fuse in the Ebox?

He stated in post #1, it does have spark. And if the fuse is blown, it won't crank.

id check the flywheel and stator if the timing is way off it will still spark it just wont try to start bc so far off

Cut off at WOT, won't start - I'd be checking the compression

I have had a similar prob on 4 different skis in the past 2 weeks and every one it was the S/S switch or the connection to the CDI. Disconnect the black connection, turn your idle off and try that if it starts its the connection or the switch

Thank you for all the replies! Still working problem. All fuses look good, waiting on a compression tester at the moment. Update soon

Pour gas down the carb see if it starts could have a stick needle and seat

Mine had a similiar problem, ended up being the CDI

agree...sounds like it might be the cdi...probly toasted

Blown front piston, 125 psi rear. I was leaning towards cdi to but that was replaced not long ago. He should have bought a kawi!! lol

BTW, what do you mean should of bought a Kawi? How old is the motor on this Blaster? 20 years?
