Is it worth having flip noz on a B1 in the surf. I want to step my game up and start doing flips. If so whats the best noz to use. I can get the blaster half way then i just fall out of the sky scary almost hits me so I stop trying for now.

Talk to zimmy. He is the blaster flip master.

I would say you need a head high curling wave to start. And a little brapppp under the hood. A b pipe and high compression head along with a prop and Msd would be my suggestion. No trim required until you are trying to flip off two or three footers. It may help you learn though.

And hit the wave way later than you think you should. That was the hardest part for me learning how to flip.

(but I've never flipped or rolled a blaster, just an sj)

Weso, trim is the best way to go! Even if you aren't trying to flip, getting through breakers is a lot easier when you can pop the nose up with the trim, rather than having to work the bars. Nozzle depends on your budget IMO, you could make a systems using a raider trim ring for cheap, the X-metal system is about $400+ but it wont survive a hit on the rear end as the SS trim ring will bend (from experience), the Thrust system is really nice, I ran one for a few years before it gave out, I think those are $700+.

Like Bruce said, some decent surf, hit the wave late and commit to it, if you are half way there already a trim system will most likely give you the extra rotation!

Good luck!

this nose kit adds rcoker and cuts off almost 15 lbs. Also wouldnt hurt to cut some inches off the rear and reinforce back there at the same time as its quite weak.
got them in stock ready to ship at about the cost a trim system! $475 shipped

Thanks for the info got to do some saving or flip a ski here soon. My blaster bottom not looking to good paint is gone and starting to see fiberglass,or brown color on the bottom, it's not taking in water but I'm concern a little. Got lots stress cracks on top deck were your feet go and by the pump area. May just find a blown up b1 and switch hulls
