My b1100 is finally churning thru gallons and ripping my arms off but for the 3rd or 4th time in two years the hi-temp silicone coupler connecting the expansion chamber to the waterbox thru the firewall blows a hole and chokes me out.
I dried the pipe out as per some forum instructions and the coupler is not being punctured by any sharp firewall edges b/ c it always blows on the top outer side.
My stinger has a barb w/ a 120 jet sprayer and I have a sand filter installed on the incoming line from the pump.
I wonder if the orientation of said stinger spray barb is the issue. I installed it at 3 o clock so it's sideways. Should it come in @ 12 o'clock straight down ? These couplers ain't cheap but I keep replacing them.

Quote : ''I dried the pipe out as per some forum instructions''' I would add some more water to cool it down some , Ill bet you dont notice the difference with a lil more cooling and your coupler will appreciate it .

I was thinking that ^^^ Using a 5" aluminum tube to bridge the gap w/ 2 couplers @ each end.
I already ordered a new hose from mandrelbendingsolutions.com and I'll up the jet size in stinger or just leave the jet out all together.

I have no bigger jet to replace the 120 that's there now. Will it flood the exhaust if I just take it out of stinger barb and have flow straight from the pump?
Defeats the dry pipe I suppose
