I've run the Es plugs in all my Yamahas instead of the Hs......tiny bump in compression and they pretty much work in everything.

Got 'em in the wife's SJ with old school ROGO head right now. I can't picture the extra length contacting a piston in ANY head.......still way up in the pocket.

ROGO is an aftermarket head. So it would have called for the ES.

What I meant was any old 2 stroke Yamaha stocker I just run the BR8ES cause that's what I keep on hand. Ran 'em in my old VXR Pro, ran 'em in in my wife's old 700 WaveVenture, and in her GP1200 too. I have also put them in MANY different customer skis, no problems ever.

Can't imagine that large protrusion that is the plug going past the threads help with combustion efficiency much? That would also hold a lot of heat in the chamber that should be soaked away by the threading in the head.
