FNG here! Picked up a couple jet skis yesterday . . . had a 650 growing up but it's been a long time. The white 440 runs and rides like a dream. The red one has a 650 in it, and may need a few odds and ends, I think I need to adjust the idle a bit, it ran good if you stayed on it, but wanted to die at idle . . . it's fast but bounces a lot at speed, going to have to see what I can do to dial it in. The white one is perfect for somebody new to learn on, really nice and smooth. I wanted a couple of beaters, so I can go out with friends and not have to worry about them getting messed up . . . figure if I get hooked, I'll keep an eye out for a nicer ski and have the beaters for loaners. Kinda felt like a requirement living here. Drove down my street, crossed the road and boom, there's the launching spot, 5 minutes tops . . . was the first time I've been to the lake since moving here! Hit the lake with my brother for a couple hours to try them out . . . I guess it's like riding a bike, we were both standing up after a few minutes.

So first ? . . . the 650 has a bilge pump and the PO mentioned it worked as of a couple weeks ago when he last had the ski out. The switch had come apart and something inside must have fell out as there's nothing to make the connection, figured, easy enough, I could throw on a new toggle switch. But then I noticed that if I touch the wires together manually making the connection . . . nothing Any input would help.
Second ? . . . the 650 wants to die after it starts, and wants to be primed again to restart, but if you keep on the throttle it runs fine. I was thinking maybe the idle just needs to be adjusted a bit, or maybe the pilot jet needs to be fatter. The PO mentioned it tends to run cold and likes to be primed a bit and encouraged me to ride it a couple more times before messing with it as it's been running good for him.
Third ? . . . 650 again, it's very bouncy at speed, rather than leveling/smoothing out with more throttle, it wants to bounce. Thinking the 650 is probably heavier/more powerful than whatever was in it originally. Is there an adjustment, different plate, etc that might help?
