Back Flip HELP!!!!!

Just started to back flpi in the ocean and I have a couple of Questions.
1) At 180 degress i find myself comming out of my footholds.
2) I find myself stalling halfway around and landing on my head
3) limit rope or no rope.
Is there also some links were you can watch the trick in slow motion or one that you can really see the motion on.
Thanks Steve

1. Push your feet outwards into the holds. This should lock you in. I had similar problems until I started doing that.
2. Be sure to be crouched off the back before you take off, then after you leave the top of the wave - stand up, kick your feet out, pull back on the pole, and spot your landing.
3. I do it without the limiter rope.

EDIT: Are you doing this on a Blaster?

Read the "Not enough rotation" thread in its entirety

http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/41608-Not-enough-rotation-(Back-Flips)

Most guys go in phases, Beginner BF'ers hit the wave to early with not enough body english and pancake them. Once they start to gain a little confidence they start hitting the wave to late with to much throttle and over rotate them, jamming your ankles into your tray. (They then install 25mm underpad)HA HA. Eventually you get your timeing down and will be able to pull it off fairly consistantly. BF's in the surf are mainly timing, when your timing is good you'll nail it, when its not it will be a little uglier! There's really no substitute for practice, if you have the ballz to try it, you'll get it eventually, its actually one of the esier tricks to pull off.

we need bigger waves. you aren't going to learn off these roller 1-2 footers. get some hurricane waves and you will flip that thing right around.

lol i seams the the more riding years you have the harder it is to do a bf. lol my body just stops me from trying to flip the ski!!!lol since the 550 days that nose way up is a bad thing. roles are good almost easy now. (need to go higher)

keep trying, hit the wave when its vertical and plow through the lip with your ass hanging off the back, your arms straight, and your throttle pinned. dont start giving it that throttle until you are going up the wave, it will lift the nose off the lip and help the rotation. if its not working, your not doing something listed!
