Other Back on the Big Bore Bandwagon!

Well after riding half this season on an old, worn out, beat 61X/61X 701 with a pipe, head, lightened stock flywheel, msd enhancer and flow control valve I'm finally back on a bigger motor.

I would say the small motor helped my riding a little, since I didn't have much power I had to go back to technique. We have been lucky this season and had 4 footers most of the time too which helps as well. I have learned to backflip with this little 61X though. It doesn't take much power in the surf just the balls to launch off a head high wave and chuck it backwards.

The motor with the green head is a jetworks 771 with blackjack 44's and case porting. It went into my fixed steer.
The other motor is a new set of cases and billet cylinder from xscream @846cc's. It will be going into my new square build.

Anyhow, I'd like to give a big thanks to the people who have helped me on the way:

771 runs pretty damn good.

Took it out yesterday and dialed in the high and low screws. Ran a full tank of gas through it too. After getting the tuning dialed the motor feels great, however: I need to work on pump tuning because its cavitating pretty bad.

Going to take the stubby cone out and go back to a stocker for now and test another prop. I think the answer is going to be a TBM pump cone or solas mag pump though. $$$$$

Eww, TBM! Solas forsure. Worth the couple extra bucks.

I love the difference in hookup in the surf. Flat water, I felt it but not as much.

I used to run a tbm come and a big hub prop in my old setup. It works well for what it is and is easier and cheaper to install than stripping my pump to build a mag out of it.
