Sell it spend big money and buy a full aftermarket monster or u can buy a hull and swap ur stuff in it but it's going to take alot of practice to get all the way around on a stock motor and ull end up spending more and more

You won't flip flatwater with a stock driveline. Well, let me put it this way: you might, but it won't be fun trying to flip a stock driveline. You'll have to work too hard at it. Chances are, you'll need (minimum) short hull, some more bore on that 701, port work, pipe, lightened flywheel, msd, trim, and mag pump. There's no cheap way to backflip, really.

Don't go with the 701 in a freestyle ski... I just bought a bob and swapped all my stuff over from my SJ. It's fairly done up, mag pump, bored way over, and I still can't get it all the way around off my own wake. It's frustrating. Buy a used rtr ski with a bigger motor, you will be much happier and have about 1/20th the head ache and work. My two cents for you bud...good luck my man

They say back flip on a budget. And all they show is pros doing these backflips. It's a lot more difficult than it looks. And 701-800 are gonna be tough cc'd motors to flip.

@lawmaster891 was getting around on his glass Backie Chan with a limited 701. I don't recall what pump he had. He was nosing in off his own setup wake, and landing off cruiser wakes. He's a ballsy rider though. I have a lighter hull and more motor and haven't landed anything. So a lot has to do with your skill, technique.

Not saying the Chan is or isn't the key, but a light short hull will get you the farthest to realizing your back flip dream.

His setup had a $700 bpipe, head, MSD enhancer, prop... If your SJ is BONE stock, you'll end up dropping $2-3k in exhaust, trim, pump, impeller on top of your hull purchase. Its painful but I think thats really is the bare minimum that you can get away with and pull a FW flip.

I've watched guys do it with 718 and a 771 in my Brawler with a b pipe n charging system. It can be done, just have to work at it. It took me all summer to learn how.
