Why are you not using the standard BC pins?
I believe it was a waterdawg hood pin system.
Guess you better get the Twangled backie chan hood retention system, what did the previous owner use?
I sent WDK an email. Might just go that route. Sounds like it might be the best option. You might be able to use some sort of hook system but I doubt anything readily available would work. The mounting surface in front is much different than a superjet and the points on the front of the hood wouldn't really allow you to slide the hood in tipped nose down then set it down like you do on a superjet. Your best bet might be a square U-Bolt on the hull, a simple aluminum piece to slide into that on the hood (just to keep the hood located side to side) and a ratchet strap to hold it all down.
The WDK style push pins really are a nice, simple and solid setup, might be worth a call to Waterdawg to see if you can buy one.
I am looking into what others have done to hold down the front of the hood on their Backie Chans. I have noticed some people using different style pin systems. Just curious what works and where you got yours.
Thanks
Can't seem to find any pics of what tigercraft uses. Interested in seeing there set up.Look at the Tigercrafts. Theres is a L bracket with a push pin or you can you use just a bolt to keep hood from shifting side to side.

Thanks for the pic. I was thinking about doing something similar to that.
It's just a regular hood pin from jegs or summit I think and they have a l bracket that attached to the front of the hood. Some are setup for dual pins and some just a single. I didn't want to deal with a ratchet strap so I just use a single cobra buckle and a fri hood strap. I think the cobra buckle is stronger than a flimsy ratchet strap anyway.
