Opinion on $7900 for that set up. Worth it?
For how hard I will be on it on a small lake up in Vermont I think it should hold up. I don’t plan to take it in the surf. But def want to flip in eventuallyMore important then flipping; it's an all around fun ski to ride. You probably wont be able to flip it for a while unless you practice a lot. But someone who knows how to flip a ski could probably do it no problem. the hull is also probably shonet and will need repairs at some point. (like most of the cheaper a/m hulls)
Add up the value of all its parts and then pay less than that. The Chans that I have I have experience with were full of voids. The entire pole attach area went soft and needed major repair very quickly. This particular hull may be good but always tap the whole thing. The hull may be short enough for a flip but i think you will need more power with good pump and carb tuning.Opinion on $7900 for that set up. Worth it?
What would you recommend for a pump for this set up? Sorry to bring up this back up from the dead.Add up the value of all its parts and then pay less than that. Thats my old hull. That thing was a TANK. I dont think its fair to be advertised as "very light". The bare hull weighed in at like 130 or 140lbs. Given the weight it would still flatwater flip though. For how hard I will be on it on a small lake up in Vermont I think it should hold up. I don’t plan to take it in the surf.
