Backie Chan hull with 701 will this be a flippable set up with some experience?

yes it will flip of a boat wake with some practice. dont count on being able to flatwater flip it as a new rider though

Do you think with experience it could be done on this set up. Or do you think a head and 180psi would do the flat water trick?

glass hull with a 701 will be tough to get to flatwater flip without alot of practice and the ski setup being dialed. it certainly is possible though.

i went and found the ad on fb. looks like a clean ski. i think thats a fair deal. its not the deal of the century but seems fair.

That’s what I’m thinking and it’s within my range of driving distance. Guys seems legit. And yes it looks clean. I’m a beginner for freestyle stuff so I don’t need something crazy $$$ but great starter ski for what I’m gathering.

More important then flipping; it's an all around fun ski to ride. You probably wont be able to flip it for a while unless you practice a lot. But someone who knows how to flip a ski could probably do it no problem. the hull is also probably shonet and will need repairs at some point. (like most of the cheaper a/m hulls)

For how hard I will be on it on a small lake up in Vermont I think it should hold up. I don’t plan to take it in the surf. But def want to flip in eventually

https://www.x-h2o.com/threads/nc-phantom-8500.206610/ this is a better riding, more capable ski for the money if you want to flatwater flip. The phantom is like an upgraded backie chan that is better built.
Add up the value of all its parts and then pay less than that. The Chans that I have I have experience with were full of voids. The entire pole attach area went soft and needed major repair very quickly. This particular hull may be good but always tap the whole thing. The hull may be short enough for a flip but i think you will need more power with good pump and carb tuning.

Thats my old hull. That thing was a TANK. I dont think its fair to be advertised as "very light". The bare hull weighed in at like 130 or 140lbs. Given the weight it would still flatwater flip though.
Personally, id go with that phantom post above over the chan.

Chans from Trendsetterz are fine. Chans from Twangled are more like Crackie Chans.
