ball stop scupper replacement

gauging interest based on a previous thread this is something i can make a reality im pretty sure. will need to do some designing and prototyping. from what i gather most dont like the small slow discharge of already available products. what i have in mind is one that will replace that leaking scupper flap with a system that will seal while in the water and flow a comparable amount to a standard scupper. this would mount like a scupper to the rear of the hull but have the shut of feature like other products out there.

please comment if interested. also feel free to message me.

i also have a few questions, is the standard scupper tube 2"? its been a long time since i ran one.
and what other aspects of this design would you like that will benefit the community as a whole.

lets make this a reality as i see a need for a product like this and my goal as it always has been to provide a fail proof functioning product that will benefit us all for price we all can afford.

thanks matt

Others from what I gather have been limited to ping pong balls or similar and I can 3d print any size needed for this application.

Have some sketches. Plan to have a model done soon and I'll show the progress then. This house rebuilding has gotten in the way today. Didn't think we would work because of the rain but we did anyway.

Here is my first design. Trying to decide if I want to print a test part or just go ahead and machine one. I know the test part won't be strong enough and it's at least a ten hour print for the housing. Probably print the sphere and wait on the housing until I get some stock to machine from.

could be but that profile will may cost a lot higher then round.
im having a hard time so far finding some decent stock at a good price. so far the stock alone is around 100. dont think there is much market for a 250 scupper lol
maybe i can make a 3d printed version that will hold up, but im afraid one good hit and it will come apart.
