seen alot of these used in other motorsport applications,i know some of you guys used them in skis and i plan to pick a few of these up,will also be running a total loss setup anyone know how long you can run one of these before the voltage drops too low

Ski goes on the water sat I know a few people running them but none have had them very long
I would not charge these batteries on anything but the ballistic charger

My buddies (3 diff guys) are running these with oem charging skis (All high end skis top notch builds, so no junk cables, motor, etc) ... All new Batteries within the last few months... Seem to work fine with lower compression 180-190, but there always having to charge them.. I dont think water or maybe saltwater is the best use for these, IMO. Its like every time there's a problem with these batteries being dead when these guys ride. 2 of these guys ride 2-3 times a week if not more...

Not a big deal you can charge them in 15-20 min, and thats what these guys have to do at the beach..

The 12 cell wont crank the flatwater XS1000/Race gas setup for more than 2-3 starts tops if that..

Now we have been running these in our KTM's and everything is Flawless, never charge them just hit the start button and go

I'll stick with a Deka 9 or 12 for my water scooter, I like it to start when I hit the button

i just got back from a mini vacation to Florida.

friday i hooked up with the XScream Inc., toured the shop, and rode with them all afternoon.

Pat is running a Ballistic 16 cell battery in this competition boat (XS1200R motor / CRAZY high compression) and the battery lasted all afternoon- TONS of start/stops (coming into shore and changing riders) and 3 (maybe 4 / can't remember the count) tanks of fuel.

when they plugged it back in at the shop, hardly a voltage drop.

i am sold on the idea and will more then likely be trying one.

Ran the 12 cell in SXR Dasa with total loss with 240 psi. Probably cranked it a dozen times in the process of riding out a tank of gas. Battery still had 13.38 volts after all that. I'm sure it will go 4 or 5 tanks on a charge.

and assuming he was running total loss too..

Be carefully not to over tighten bolts , and make sure bolts are not to long because they will bottom out. I reinforced one of mine with plastic weld around the mount area . It had a tiny crack from over tightening a bottomed out bolt that was to long .

I ran my 12cell last year and it worked great all year until some friends ran it way to low and damaged the cells. I just got word today that ballistic is going to warrantee it! As long as your careful it's a great battery
