i dont have anyone to tape my attempts.:frown: might have to work on that. need to find someone with a video camera first

i'll have mine at fsf. remind me and we'll get some done up.

this weekend was the first time i could say i really attempted them. i still really am uncomfortable on what im trying to do. i come out of my holds at like a quarter rotation, ski lands upside down. i think i was trying to make the ski rotate around me by throwing off to the side instead of trying to rotate with the ski. should of got some video since i had my camera there but never asked my brother-in-law to tape it.

It looks like your jumping from you setup wake, then trying to roll. You want to start the rotation after that first prehop bro! Werd

I forgot!
i got some good footage of Steve trying them but he seems to know what he needs to do to finish his rotation and doesn't want me to post any vid till he is laying down flatwater rolls. :headbang: he is close and once he gets his new 5 mill he should be set. me on the other hand haven't been attempting them lately. i gotta balls up and git some done. come on Lakes, let see some flat water flops.

Geek, I gotta keep remembering what you've told me before!

I'll try to get a vid. I'm so close, but I've forgotten to use Geeks tips.

Lemme borrow that motor of yours :sneaky:

Seriously, I have tried a couple of flatwater rolls and the power is great but my form sucks. I have been using my trim system to get airborn by doing a hop in way and then pull the trim and just turn the other direction. I can get some nice height but does not do a thing for rotation. I will see if I can get some roll attempts on video tomorrow. All I have right now are a couple of stabs that if screwed up :haha: My weak point is the trim......I like trim systems and it is killing me. It is on tomorrow.

so nobody is doing a pre-hop one way then crank the bars the other way? watching the slymo vids on SJTT he does a "U" turn then hits it parallel cranking the bars one way then rolls the other??

everytime i try that i crank the bars too much and ill get too perpendicular with the direction i was moving and sometimes just fall over from momentum.

other than that, my set up wakes suck too.

okay im also currently working on it too but all the guys i ride with can do it. so u make a 70 degree left hand wake and dont come at it straight on. pre hop into the second roler and the crank the bars the same way u are rotating. the wave will trip u and ur body rotation will make it role but u cranking the into the wave will give u height stay low and over the hood. dont role to the right role to the left its easier cause the motor twist that way, thats what i was taught.

Another thing that helps is trying to keep the nose down landing from the prehop. This lets you have a little more time in the water to get height and rotation.
