Ok, since I do not know anybody here who can even do half of rotation - where do I start to practice this trick - what is absolutely neccessary what is not, what technique, what wake set up, etc? Can somebody describe the procedure in simple words? :) I know, I suck...

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
do a U setup wake... then where the U comes together you will notice a big wave for a second... you have to hit that wave perfectly... practice just making the wave for a few days and jumping off it... then start trying nose stabs off it... then try cranking your bars left then right to get full rotation... and kinda lean over towards the gascap.... hard to explain it... you kinda just have to practice until you get it... you'll feel it happening when you get close...

there's other ways to do it, but if I wanna do it off my own wake- thats the way I usually do it..

yeah..... start out straight for a few seconds and then make a U then when you get about done making the U- do a quick turn (kinda like a little mini U) so you're pointed back to where the curve would be on the big U... then just look to watch what happens... after a few times- you'll see the sharp wake that appears for a second... you need to practice making setup wakes a lot... like different size and shapes of U's so you can find out what way you can make the biggest steepest wake... then you have to practice the timing to hit it... just spend a ton of time practicing hitting the wake before you even try the rolls.... then when you wanna roll all you really have to do is hit the wake right and turn your bars all the way right and then crank all the way left with full throttle... that way you have full turn of the bars and kinda lean your body over the ski towards the gas cap... you'll find out that by making the right wake, hitting it right, and letting the ski do the work and just positioning your body right- that will get you to roll the ski... this is just how I'd suggest someone try it... I kinda just did it trial and error and ended up figuring this was a good way to practice it... which I still am trying to perfect myself... I make prob 1 out of 3 flatwater rolls plate 2 plate on a good day... I hope to make it better this year..

I like to say is that you have to be committed and pin the throttle as you go into it. Getting the proper height will insure a good clean rotation

Waterfreak – usually when I do rolls I tend to raise the front of the ski, instead of being in a nice position as you are in the picture. How do you make it roll like that? I heard that I should tuck the bottom of the ski close to my butt, however, this sounds not very correctly to me, since I would be raising the front ever higher by doing so. I have attached a video and would appreciate if everyone could comment on what I am doing wrong (or right).
Many thanks!

That's right, pick on the square nose.:buttkick:
:)

You tell em Boris.

It's definitely possible. Back in the day, when I was still competing, I was rolling my SN with a 650 in it. It was bored to 701 with pump gas porting, FP Mod Pipe, 200 lbs compression, Solas J prop, stock rideplate and Worx intake grate.

Granted the rolls weren't very high, but I was getting it around off of my own setup and even just on the "hop".

Barrel Rolls are FIRST AND FOREMOST about technique and execution. Power enhances that and makes the trick bigger/better, but if you don't have the technique and execution down, it doesn't mean squat.

It might sound wrong but go off waves that aren't breaking yet, it took 2-3 waves for me to figure it out, but I never liked the look of those rolls, though they should be just bigger flatwater- type rolls...tailend high, just my opinion, you are assured a safer landing doing them the way you do
