bashed shins!

attempted big throw... the ski went 90* and hit the water, he went right into the side of it.. both shins bashed into the bond line, idk how the smooth stock bumpers cut him up so bad. maybe hes just fragile :ugh2: this is why stock 750's SUCK for freestyle  and yes, that is his bone in the pics hah

Ya this is why heavy wetsuits up here in Alaska are used for more than just warmth : ) a 5 mm suit is like a full body pad. I hate shin impacts and this one looked like it hurt. : ( sorry dude

Remember I did the same thing on 3 seperate occasions. The only difference was, I hit the back of the tray where it was padded. You should both be happy he didn't hit those knife like lines on the back of your ski...would've chipped the bone.

BTW - The bond rail didn't cut him...that's impact damage and I've got 3 scars on my shins from last year when I hit turf with 3/4" padding under it.

ooooooo........a leg-gina!

I had one of those.....10 stitches and no getting it wet for 3-4 weeks......Sux!! I always wear some sort of shin protection since that day.

it wasnt on my ski, it was a bone stock 750, even stock turf haha

and htf does an impact incident put holes in skin!?

Think about it this way... Imagine you put a piece of turf on concrete and then hit it with a hammer a few times. It doesn't just spring back like nothing happened, it gets ripped to shreds until there's nothing left. Your skin is the same way only it's a lot thinner. I'm sure some doctor can explain better but that's my analogy.

That's pretty much it. Or if it helps, think of a piece of bread that you whack. Skin is somewhere in between those 2 analogies, but you get the idea.

I once cut the back of my hand INSIDE motorcycle gloves when I went over sideways/backwards doing stupid human tricks on my quad. The brake lever cut my hand through the glove without cutting the glove at all.

And that leg-gina looks just like skinnyman's that he did about 5 yrs ago. He had a wet suit on and it didn't cut his wetsuit, just split the skin open right over the shin almost exactly like that. He whacked his shin on the back of the tray over turf, so you KNOW he hit it hard to split the skin through wet suit and over turf.
