Bashing shins...

I just received my Slippery Leg Armor... good stuff.

Little hard to put the wet suit up though cause the Velcro catches, but it will be nice knowing there is some more protection there... i have a bad habit of bashing the hell out of my legs some how or another.

All Boatlauches in the south suffer from the same problems. Rednecks and beer bottles at boat ramps........

I do wear the shoes but just last weekend I picked up something I didn't expect... It wasn't glass or beer cans but a freaking huge fish hook!! I honestly can't believe people are even allowed to fish off public boat docks. Every ramp I saw in SC had signs everywhere for no swimming and no fishing on or around the dock.

i just start from a stand. put one foot on the tail and push down while gassing it. you will pop right out of the water. i usually lean left while doing this to keep most of my weight (198lbs) over the water instead of the ski.

My legs are bruised to hell.
It was not from getting on, but the unplanned dismounts. I started hanging on to the ski during the fall to reduce the time to get back on. Being a beginner, there are a lot of falls!
Those falls are causing me to bang the outside of my legs (just below the knees) against the sides of the ski.
I may have to try my mx knee guards.

Whaaah whaaah whaaah! My shins are black and blue each time I get done riding, and I bruised my tibia when I bottomed out my ski off a jump in the shallows some months ago and got a cool scar from it. Chalk it up as battle scars of being a standup rider!! Marks of pride!!

I was catchin it on the inside ankle.
I found some sport elbow pads that would stay on my skinny legs and no more burises.
I'd rather look like a nerd than hurt like a ...

I bought the new Slippery Race suit and the legs look sweet on it, don't want to cover them! haha

We'll see... Have not been out on the water yet this year.

Barefoot, regular socks would suck. I have seen people wear neoprene socks.

I bought some nice neoprene socks from the Gander Mountain store. I bought them for cold water riding. They are not waterproof by any means but did help to keep my feet warm.

On other days, I usually just wear regular old socks inside my shoes.


If anyone wants a brand new pair of Asic wrestling shoes, I have a pair in size 12's. I would use them but they are just a tad bit too long in the toes. $35 shipped anywhere in the USA.

i smashed the crap out of mine several times. actually broke the back corners of a hull on a few wipe outs. getting on i dont really have any issues though.
