All I can say is WOWEE! I think I might need some spaceship fuel for this thing cuz all it wants to do is take off! This feels like a whole new hull(of course all I've ever ridden was a 440 and a waterlogged superjet). I rotated over half way on my first jump, and I wasn't even trying! Anything past quarter throttle and it just hooks up and jumps out of the water.
Right now I'm just running an eyeball tune with the carb pretty rich. I could only imagine the potential if a pro could dial in my pipe and carb. Which I would pay good money for someone to do for me in the Midwest!!!
As for backflipping, i have minimal experience. As I only have done a couple on a trampoline before almost breaking my neck lmao. I did a few backflops (more than half way) on my first day out on it, but I was focusing more on making sure that I wasn't sinking, overheating, etc etc. I'm sure after getting used to the new hull and more backflop attempts, a backflip should be completed in my future.
Only negative-
Porpoising is pretty bad, maybe I need to ride it more to get used to it. It's hard to take over 25mph. I could get another ride plate and cut it 1" less. I'm glad I didn't cut past 5" I'm only 160lbs and it likes to ride pretty nose high. A shorter hand pole would help too I bet.
I want to give a thanks to all you XH20 members who hooked me up with awesome deals for parts through the forums as I was building my hull!!!!! I was building on a budget and almost every part I got was used from this site, which added up and saved me quite a bit of money.
Still more to come
