Was talking to a buddy a few days back, and about the weight of the batteries. it makes my SN lean pretty good, and the thought of a lighter battery came up. since theres terrible responce to the batteries ont he market from what it seams, why not run a superbike battery?

stock CBR 600 battery is around 6 lbs, vs the 14lbs+ for a stock SJ battery. And since it turns a 600+cc 4cyl motor over, im sure it would be mint in a jetski. then theres the lithium versions at 2 lbs for the bikes. a standard superbike battery is sealed, half the size of a standard battery, seemingly half the weight, and a yuasa CBR battery is around $114, which to me is cheap. (my stock battery in my bike has lasted 19,000K and 5 years, being flat more then a dozen times.

SO... just curious why i dont see anyone use them?

You don't start a bike 15 times every ten minutes.

Batteries are batteries, they are dumb and have no idea what application they are in, motorcycles use batteries of all shapes and sizes. If it meets your CCA requirements, you can run a "sportbike" battery. Very generally speaking, the lighter/smaller the battery, the less power they provide, and you are not going to bump start your ski if the battery flakes or have to pump half a liter of water out of your sportbike.

190 cca isnt enough for a ski

Should be.

just dropped my 600RR battery thats 5 years old into my SJ, fired up no problem. i can see a couch needing a larger battery, but for a stand up, and half the guys running a scupper, they would work. and seeing the antigravity batteries not lasting, it seems like a small, light reliable source of power at a cheap price. a yuasa should last 3+ seasons on a normal ski, and atleast one+ with a TL system depending on how far you let it get down
