Thanks. Just picked up a new one and now I get one click from the Ebox, no start. Crank turns freely, Ebox freshly built last year, bendix two years old. Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking starter..
If u jumped the relay and got nothing then its not the relay. If it cranked while jumped yes it would be the relay sounds like you either have a bad ground or maybe positive lead. Make sure your ground wire from battery to the motor is good n clean. Check your voltage at the battery then at the starter solenoid battery side. Make sure it's the same voltage. If it is u now know that positive lead is good. Take that lead off and tap the side going to the starter. See if it cranks. If not check thebline going to the starter. Could be bad wire or connection
Look for a corroded and broken ground wire. We had one that was split inside the black sleeve coating and the only way we found it was by flexing the ground wire to find the small crack in the sleeve. The wire was shot.
