Bay Area surf riding spots

Ok so I've been looking for a spot to ride surf in the Bay Area. Like Mother Nature waves not tug boats/yacht. The closes place I've rode is pismo. I've heard talk about bodega bay being legal to ride. Any input or spots would be appreciated

We use to ride Bodega Bay all the time.It got closed down along time ago as with any other area south of fort bragg to north of monterey. There does seem to be places north of fort bragg but the drive is probably longer than pismo_On the north coast there seems to be alot of rocks in the surf line.

From the information I've gathered the pwc restricted zone ends north of bodega. I've been planing to cruise up there and check some spots out on my kayak and do some fishing. I have a list of surf spots off a surf site I'm looking at. Prob a slim chance there beach cart accessible and ski friendly but it's worth a look to cut the drive time to pismo in half and have a day trip spot.

I ride pillar point every day just about and I have been for 20 years and it is legal btw their is a 2 square mile roughly area where it is completely leagal its just off shore and you cant go close to the beach anywhere along the coast you have to stay inbetween the green and red cans . I do it almost every day I would be super down to take someone with and show how to do it without getting in trouble. ive lived across the street from pillar point my whole life 37 years and ive never gotten a tcket and ive been towed in by the harbor master boat numerous times and its never been a problem .BUT IM NOT CHILDISH AND BREAK THE RULES . I MIGHT BEND THEM BUT I KNOW THE COASTLINE AND THE REEF VERY WELL.

SO IF SOMEONE WANTS TO RIDE A WEEKDAY AFTER 330 I WOULD BE GLAD TO HAVE SOMEONE CRUISE WITH THAT IS IF YOUR COOL WITH THE WHOLE SHARK THING CUZ THEY ARE THERE FOR SURE WHETHER OR NOT YOU STRESS ABOUT IT THATS UP TO YOU THE THOUFGHT DOESNT BOTHER ME UNLESS I START THNKING ABOUT IT
I ALSO WAKESURF OUT HER3E ALOT AND I HAVE FOREVER AND THERE IS ONLY A SMALL HANDFULL OF PEOPLE THAT DO THIS AND NOBODY DOES IT REGULARLY BESIDES ME N MY HOMIES
