Seems that's a common modification. That doesn't seem to bad.

I'm running the new ATP on my xmetal and never had one problem. I did have to make the whole where the steering mounts larger donit would fit in the pole

I ended up buying the setup Steve had for sale with the bars and grips. Seems like a nice setup, I'll post back once I get it installed.
