It runs, it dies, it runs, it dies... Don't get it. Okay so here's my 2 dilemmas;

Gets spark, compression and fuel. Only starts when it wants it seems then dies. Sometimes it has no spark, other times it's strong and white/blue and consistent. 2 days ago it started fine and ran for 2 hours with no issues. Yesterday I tried starting it and it was like the cylinder was locked up. Took out the plugs and gas shooted out of the cylinders.. A lot of gas.

Well that's one issue, the other is that today I hit the starter button to test spark and the positive wire from the battery to the Ebox caught on fire! After that little issue I kicked it a few times and walked away.

Anyone got some ideas on a fix? It did get spark until the wire caught ablaze.

is your oil injector still working cause if your piston is locked up that could be your cause. that happened to me last summer.

It was locked up because of all the gas in the cylinders.

I don't know why the battery cable caught on fire, or why the machine only runs half the time.

If you leave your fuel selector on and the tank pressurizes
it can flood your motor with gas. probably a leaking needle and seat in the carb
you wiring doesnt sound good
may be bad grounding cable
and now a power cable too

It was outside with the hood off. Its in the garage now and I see nor smell gas.

Checked all the grounds, they seem okay and tight? Power cable is screwed though... Should I replace the main ground to be sure?

Yeah I thought it was a bit off, haha. I've had 2 strokes my whole life, never had this many issues with anything!

Tank should be pressurized but definitely agree that a leaking needle and seat or too low a popoff would cause the engine to constantly be flooded. The simple test for this is, if it is not starting pull the plugs and crank it over for a few seconds, put the plugs back in. If it fires right up it is definitely just flooding.

It does sound like you have two different issues though and the second one could be a bad ground or a faulty kill switch. If the kill switch gets water in it it could cause it to short and not have spark when it should. If you are not getting spark try disconnecting the kill switch (i think it is the black/white wire?)

Kill switch was disconnected when the wire caught on fire. Must be in the ski... Check this pic out; yup power wire bad

Looks like the damn thing blew up.

So far no leaks of gas, tank was pressurized by the heat, took the cap off and so much pressure was under it.

If power cable is that bad, I bet the ground is black and coming apart inside the cable

Took off the ground a few minutes ago and cut into 2 spots coppery gold inside.

If it's got that much fuel in the jugs that it shoots out the u gotta check the needle/seat setup. Dribble madness.

Been 4 hours, just cranked and no gas came shooting out. Mustve been the heat
