Super Jet Bendix - Oil, Grease, Graphite, dry?

What is the best way to install the Bendix? In the past I've just installed it dry (just grease on the bushes) and this has worked ok, but this time it feels a little bit sticky when you actuate it.

What (if anything) should I lubricate the bendix with? Or should I degrease, wash and dry it until it feels not-sticky?

Cheers,
Andrew

It has been recommended to me to do the following

1) Soak bendix in mineral spirits for a couple hours... every once in a while working the action. This gets all the grim out of it...
2) Let the bendix fully dry
3) Soak in any weight engine oil (2 stroke or 4) for a day or so, again working the action so oil penetrates everywhere
4) Let most of the oil dry off.
5) Install.

I put in a new OEM bendix a few months ago. I put some grease on the shaft ends and on both sets of gears.
