Super Jet bendix starter or what?

lately ive been having some starting issues. there is no rhyme or reason to it but every time i ride at least once or twice you will hear the bendix not kick out. thinking it was the bendix i bought one and changed it out. i still have the same problem. the starter was rebuilt about two months ago and cranks strong. im just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue cuz the only thing i can think of at this point is that the teeth on the starter are worn.

Are you putting grease in the bendix? I always tried to wedge some in there to ensure it pops out.

yah. it came lubed up and i added some to the ends.

I have the same problem even with a brand-new OEM bendix. Every now and then it just free-wheels. I also lightly grease both gears on it.

im really starting to lean towards worn teeth on the starter. but i would think it would be more consistent. someone told me to try changing the sterter solenoid, maybe its not sending a good signal???

I am also using a brand new OEM starter and a like-new ATP TL flywheel

i checked my flywheel and its in good shape (R&D aluminum). now im starting to wonder if my starter just doesn't have enough a$$ anymore. my ski just developed this issue this season.

If it's spinning its not the solenoid.
