Anyone have input on running a driveshaft that has around a 1/16th" of wobble at the splines when the stator is clamped to a bench?
I have a new driveshaft on the way just looking to get another ride or 2 out of it..

From what I understand, It is very common for aftermarket driveshafts to not be straight. They eat up pump/midshaft bearings and shake. I also think that if the shaft doesn't get installed on the pump/bearing correctly, this could cause a wobble too. I took a drive shaft out that wobbled like crazy in the pump and it was fine when checked on the bench. (there was no bearing play either) I installed it in another pump and it didn't wobble at all. Could be an issue with aftermarket bearings not machined correctly?

If its not bowed in the middle. U can run it no worries. Nothing bad going to happen. My experience is if it vibrates more badly as you rev it ...like the ski moves if its on the garage floor then u way out of alignment or shaft is bad out of centre
