Just bore it out 0.5mm at a time until you are happy. If unsure, buy a second nozzle so when you bore nozzle 1 too much you bore nozzle 2 to where you were happy with nozzle 1 b4 u made it too big.

newb question- having a larger nozzle increases top speed but reduces low end am I right? and how does the nozzle relate to the pitch on the prop?

No a larger nozzle gives you bottom end while a smaller one gives top end. Refer to other posts above for explanation

I found a good deal on a skat sxr 12-17. Would I have to mod it any to it a 650 shaft?

Yes. It will thread on but something about the setback is wrong. I haven't tried it. Impros will machine it for like $75 to fit correct, but it would never work right again on a SXR.

yup you will need to send it to someone that knows what their doing to get it cut to fit 650pump

Btw what motor are you running?
If its 650 that impeller is a little stiff but if its 750 thats perfect

Okay so latests status is I'm running a 650 stock bore with dual 38's a pjs pipe and a nozzle bored to 85mm.

Someone mentioned using a stock sxr prop cut down to fit a 650 pump.

Now my question is, is a stock 750 SX sxi prop the same as a stock sxr prop.

No, all stock SXI impellers are small hub and very low pitched. SXR impellers have rounded leading edges and large hubs.

I am also looking for an impeller for my totally stock 91" 650SX I am not looking to make any mods to pump etc just add a stainless steel one for the added extra.
