Looking for a adhesive for my turf. Tried a few things, however nothing seems to work. Liquid Nails crossed my mind but im not sure how it would hold up in a marine application or with the materail and fiberglass. Any takes?

DAP weldwood, THE RED CAN!!! do not use the green can it will NOT work. Search some threads on here, lots of talk about it.

X4 on dap red can. Use a razor and 45 degree all the edges and that will help also.

i think hes referring to turfing the tray....
but yeah the 45 degree cut is much easier than rolling it when turfing the rails

just make sure you buy super glue...
one of the versions gorilla glue expands a good amount....you DONT want that.

once you think the glue is dry, go inside...drink a beer, then after that..it might be ready

If you could not find the thread on how to turf. You want to do two light coats of Daps on the back of the turf and at least one coat on the surface you are putting the turf on. Make sure that the Daps drys completely before you add the second coat and before you apply turf on the surface. You want to rough up the surface of where the turf is going and I sand the turf itself too just to make sure.

What he said ^. I think i did 2 coats on each. Wait untill it tacks up nice and stick it. Haven't had a problem in 3 years. dap red can that is!

I learned a great trick this weekend about applying glue! Simple but gave excellent results!! Use a small roller to apply the glue instead of a brush. Of course you'll need to brush the tight spots. The roller allowed for a perfectly even application and quicker drying time! We did 3 coats on the mats and padding and 2 on the ski. Make sure the glue dries completely before sticking it down and hit it with a rubber mallet! Keep plenty of sharp blades on hand and take your time
