Looking to build a lighter weight, flickable buoy carver. I love the way the stock SXR is wicked planted in and out of the corners but the extra weight does make it a effort to flick side to side quickly like my SuperJet. I'm not sure if its the extra weight of the SXR that makes it more planted or if it the actual hull design. My thought is if there was a SXR hull that weighed significantly less it would be super planted in the corner but also a quick responder to inputs. I guess I'm trying to have the love child of a SuperJet and SXR. Is this possible? I contacted the guys from Trinity and they say they have a hull that would shave off over 90lbs from the SXR stocker, retain the planted feel and be super flickable. Any thoughts? There are so many aftermarket hulls out there I'm lost in the sea of aftermarket. I already have a Rickter FS2 EVO. So I'm not looking to replicate a free-style ski. Need a buoy killer!
