What do you guys think are the best AM chin pads for a stock SJ pole?

Mine is broken and am looking to get a quality replacement.

I'm in the market for one also. The ATP looks nice. How does it mount in the front though? Any others to compare to?

I wouldn't mind going the ATP route, but with VAT, conversion, and shipping get me. I like the steering nossle but conversion rate and VAT strike again.

You don't pay VAT in the States guys, only people in the EU pay VAT. All the prices on our on line shop are ex VAT When you go to the checkout in on line shop it should recognise you are from the States and not add VAT. Any problems just send us an email.
Chris.

How do the composite chin pads attach in the front on the ATP chin pads? They don't seem to have the mounting tab that holds the front down.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I was looking at the WDK one, but stories of unreliability regarding shipping in a timely fashion may steer me away from that option.

Mount the pad to the pole. Then drill to holes up front, the tap them for threads and bolt it down using a pan head bolt. You can use one or two bolts.

I have been running the 24/7 (Chris Maros) chin pads for about 8 years. Top Notch.

Decided to go with one of the chin pads the x member Toby makes. Ordered a carbon fiber one from him. Will post a review when i get it. I've heard good things so I'm not too worried at all.

Prices for chinpads are rediculous. Be it stock, carbon, or other.....
Cut the stock one you have to the shape that you like and cover that puppy with b-stock.

They shouldn't even call it a chin-pad. It should be called a steering plate & cable cover.

Honestly....how many times have you hit your chin on it? How much are you willing to pay to have a "stylin'" chin pad?

It's BS 3 digit prices for ZERO performance.

I broke the mouth guard off a Bell balistic helmet and put my tooth through my lip when I hit the chin pad one time. Glad I had a Blowsion chin pad with some padding on it.

Alos, I've piled myself in to the top piece of the pole a few time with over rotated no footed flip variations that did not get back to the tray.

I like padding, and I'm not a fan on the plain turfed pole pads...why not spend a little extra time and throw some underpadding in there?
