Grease is the best for saltwater,been using it for close to 20 years & have yet to have a part I couldnt get apart after using grease,I like Mobil 1 syn grease from autozone.
I've used copper impregnated "anti-seize," marine grade grease, ect... Nothing, I mean nothing beats 1211 when applied to threads or the shank of a bolt.
My 1211 conclusion is based on over a decade in extreme harsh salt conditions. The only thing that I treat with thread locker is the flywheel bolt/nut (blue loctite).
