maybe turf nudges? its old school but works properly done, my bro just fabbed up awesome turf nudges that work great as foot holds on our 550sx. dont have to cut or fiberglass either...

You can glue in foam "nudges" to get a little extra lift (I have done it and had fun with them) but they are nothing compared to glassed in holds. I have the Tom21s and they are perfect for me, super comfortable with the 1" pad on top of your feet. They are big enough that you can really custom fit them to your feet by shaping the pad as you do the install. the only downside is that they take up some room in the tray, but unless you are a big guy you get used to that pretty quick.

If you have plans for a new ski I would just put lifters in. I dont see foot holds making a huge difference in a 440. Ride the crap out of that thing and improve your riding skills. Lifters will help with some tricks but I dont see footholds making you a flatwater roller/flipper.

I started on 550 and we never had anything, just pushing our toes outward. Plenty of tricks can be done...
