There have been multiple iterations of this Sony Action Cam since I bought mine, but the one I use is the first link, the HDR-AS10. Battery life with the higher end battery (which Sony supplied with the cam) will last for a good 2+ hours and quite honestly, the video quality is rather excellent for a first gen camera. I am looking at another newer to me but older version that is IPX6 rated when out of the case, and fully protected down to I believe 300 feet in the case. As mentioned, the first link is my current cam, I love the image quality, great stereo sound (even when in the case) and image stabilization. The only real downside to this first gen model is the heat it generates. It produces just enough heat to fog the inside of the protective case after about 15 minutes. I have tried just about everything to prevent it with limited success. The new cases from what I understand have cured the fogging issue. When I was able to keep the fog out on those rare occasions, I could go a full 2 1/2 hours of ride time with about 1/3 - 1/2 of the battery remaining.

A little Wave Blaster 1 video I quickly put together of a buddy and I last year in late October using the HDR-AS10, you can see it getting foggy toward the end of the video and it does look better still when not going through youtube to watch. I think because I chose not to allow ads on my channel they kick the video quality down a notch.
P.S. : This was my second time on a Blaster in rough water...I like my SuperJet much more after that day
