So I am looking into buying a girdled head and I have been reading up on different kinds. Obviously the most popular is ADA but the domes do not lock and I have read that they will wear out and blow o-rings after a few seasons. Other heads do have locking domes but there isn't as many reviews on them. Does anybody have a definite answer on what company makes the best girdled head, or does it not matter?

Cold-Fusion. its a half girdle and the domes wont spin. Carl is the man. your choice of 35cc domes or 33cc. full o-ring head.

ADA is the only head that i have ever seen that DID wear out, but maybe thats just because about all the others use the locking dome system, so you dont really notice that they are worn out. i am going to have .005" milled off all my worn ADA head shells to tighten the domes back up in them. greater and riva were good heads but i dont think domes are still available. since its okay for the parts sales sharks to attack a potential parts buyer, i have a red blowsion girdled head with maybe 3 hours on it for $400. new o-rings
Is there something like that with a full girdle? The half girdle just doesn't seem as effective.

a full girdle is overkill. the half girdle has the studs on the exhaust side, the only spot it needs it.

With the ADA head, can you not just replace the Domes when its "worn" out?
Or do you need to replace the complete head?
