Octane Best Impeller for Octane??

My octane came with a Solas 15/23....Is this the stock prop and pitch? I purchased a 14/22 Solas Concord which I installed, but have not yet tried. Could anyone let me know their Octane impeller experiences? B pipe prop? Dry Pipe prop? What RPM do these 777 motors like to turn? Thanks again guys.

Never changed mine, and I don't belive too many other Octane owners have either. If anything having the OEM impeller repitched is all that's needed. The OEM one is a Concord, but I dont remember the pitch. Try it and let us know!

Impeller

Installed a 12/19 (recommended freestyle impeller)

Lost noticeable top end, and expected more bottom end hit. I think it gives it a little. This is with stubby pump cone and 85 mm reduction ring.

I was running the 14/22 prop and it seemed better than the stock 15/23. I was running it with the largest red reduction nozzle insert. But, I then swapped out the stock carbs with a pair of 46 mikuni's and milled .30 off the heads. After this the motor had so much more power it would spin right up to the rev limit if after holding WOT for about 3 seconds. I ended up going back to the 15/23 and the blue reduction nozzle insert. The mid range acceleration is awesome. Every Octane should have a pair of Mikuni's.
