I like how it is really thick in the front, but you can still move around in it extremely easy. I think it would really help if you took a hard shot to the torso.

Anyone ever tried the non uscga vests? I always have people with me when I ride, just wondering if they really float you at all. Ever had a ranger or anyone question if your vest was approved? Was considering this vest just not sure if the non-uscga is going to be a problem.

jetpilot flight is good and uscg approved and the fly pullover looks aight but never seen it in action personally... the slippery vests used to be awesome, but the new ones look like they were made for the Ambiguously Gay Duo.

Yes, a few times by both USCG and police. They usually do it once. And they remember you after that as long as you wear the same PFD or they've already seen a PFD just like that on another rider and checked it.

They would rather check if you have a fire extinguisher on board. What's funny, I remember a USCG kid trying to find the "expiration date" on my fire extinguisher. I believe he was looking for the "best before" date.

With the locations they put the fire extinguishers on these things I could be a hundred feet away and safe from it by the time I got the fire extinguisher out and even thought about opening up the hatch to put the fire out(it would probably cause a flash fire if you opened the hatch and there was a fire in their)

I really like some of the jackets posted because they don't have the buckles in the front.
Anybody have any favorite side loaders that are USCG approved?
