Are you a pro?
Whats your point? Obviously, no. But I have a pro level setup and want to make sure all the pieces fit. Builder isn't around anymore to ask either. I got roasted for looking for a scupperbox so I'm seeing what's out there.

Do you currently have one or starting from scratch. I’d just run what ever box for what ever pipe you are running. Or a jetmaniac one if starting from scratch. I’ve ran rrp jm pfp and bun. The rrp I’d say is the worst for water running back but look at all the dasa 1200s out there running them. Just be smart about it. I think tc freeride still sell the p trap hoses too if you want more peace of mind

Point is you don't necessarily want what the pros run. Gomez and other RRP sponsored riders run the RRP laydown exhaust with the RRP laydown waterbox. It works great if you ride out most of your tricks, but for the average guy flopping around it is a one ticket to hydrolocking your motor and bending a rod. PFP waterbox is best bet for most.

I've been running a scupperbox for the past couple seasons for peace of mind and I was looking into getting a spare (if) mine wears out. However it sounds like it could be restricting performance and a pfp dimensioned box with the hump hose from tc/rad dudes solves that problem.

For what it's worth I did get a hold of someone who knew what Zack @ php recommended for a waterbox and that is a stock powerfactor box for the 898 so that is what I will be trying!

What are the pros using these days?

There isn’t a one size fits all answer to this question. Different setups like different things.

Also, what pros are you referring to?

My vote is straight pipe. If you can’t pick one, then don’t run one.

If you can’t take a joke please don’t comment to “don’t run one”
