Yeah, I am no body guy so my glas job may end up looking like her masculine chin. I think I will use two part, because I have plenty of it, and I can fill the void and shape the foam before I glass.
I think the steps I would take would be as follows.
-Remove motor
-I cut the hole to a more uniform shape/ feather exterior a few inches back.
-Latch hood to hull.
-Tape/ seal off hole from inside (through the top cutout) by doing this I will have a few inches to work with towards the interior of the ski, to form seal channel and selaing lip on hood
-Lay ski on side and pour foam
-Sand foam mushroom bulge to a nice discrete bulge, following hood/hull offset.
-Lay one layer e-glass over the whole area, with the feathering hopefullly there will be no noticeable transition.
-Cut glass/ foam with hacksaw blade to seperate hood from hull.
-Shape hood lip and seal channel/ glass these areas
-Wire wheel foam away and reinforce bulge/seal channel from the inside.
I will work on it in may spare time, as long as the area is strong ans seals well I will be happy.
