Ive got a 9-17 skat trak and was wondering what size prop would be best for rec riding on flat water with a Superjet SN? Ill be doing basic tricks and buzzing around... The engine will be:

62T/61X
Protec mach II or B pipe
35cc head
Boysen reeds
dual 38 carbs
stock porting

thanks

i went from a 9/17 skat to a 3mm cutback solas 13/16 and it made a huge difference. your next bet is a skat swirl of close to the same pitch. if your pitch is a bit to tall you can build your motor up to push it so you don't have to drop more coin after you add some more mods. ive seen these props used in a wide variety of skis with mild to wild power. They are both the best/popular props

A 13/15 -3m Solas Concord or Skat FR should work best for you IMO. The Solas has a better removal tool however.

Good Luck!

What's the standard pitch on the Skat FR swirl (13/17 I think) and do you and Dave recommend any changes to it on a basically stock 701 SJ (other than the -3mm setback)? Had someone tell me to get it tweaked on low end to 12/17. Thoughts?
