When used for what the designers intended it for, racing and carving, The SXR is an unbeatable package. Even Hydrospace copied the bottom. For recreational level racing and carving, you don't have to do much, as a stock boat is hard to improve on. All you really need is to swap out the pole, bars and intake grate, which are all junk. My SXR is pretty much stock except for those three items. I'm running a Jet Dynamics intake. I've never found any aftermarket ride plate that I thought was better than OEM. Fix those handling aspects and your SXR will be a leg-dragging machine!

Jet Dynamics Intake Grate and Long ride plate with TBM rear sponsons for a stock-ish ski. Hands down. Or run the TBM intake grate, but definitely run the jet dynamics plate.

I had a Bullet Gen 1 hull and used the stock CF ride plate. I tried a few others (TBM etc.) and none of them matched the Bullet plate for railing turns. Night and day difference from my friends 2010 SXR

Why would you want to take a leg out of the tray for turns? Seems like you could turn the ski more on its side if you kept your feet in the tray and leaned harder?
