Best Scissors for Carbon Cloth

I got the Sheffield kevlar scissors from Easy Composites . I love these things. Cuts 19oz carbon no problem no rubber on the handle so you can cleanup with acetone. $76 shipped from the UK and these will outlive me.DSC01031.JPG

Cheapest pair of decorating scissors available and run the cutting edge across a grinder to take the cutting edge off square to the blades. Works a treat - i wouldnt believe this till i tried it, but now its all i use

And as for the free harbor freight they will cut the Carbon Kevlar without fraying ?

Use masking tape for a cheap alternative to the fancy stuff the composites places sell. It falls off when you get good resin content and a nice easy way to mark where your cuts are. I'll look for the name brand

I have only played with carbon twice but I still have the cheapest arse sub 10$ scissors I could find...and they are still sharp enough to keep in my toolbox so....

I haven't worked with carbon. I usually work with 1209 or 1708.

I use the titanium scissors from Home Depot. They come on a 3-pack of sizes for less than $20. I use the smaller ones on thin stuff and the bigger ones on heavy stuff. They cut nice. I'm not sure they are always there but they are in the front of the store at Xmas.
