I was thinking about getting some five fingers. but they look so ridiculous I haven't allowed myself to actually purchase them...

i just purchased some Filas , they are actually only 4 fingers. anyways, dont purchase them. they hardly want to stay on and if i go another size smaller they wont be fittable. goofiest looking thing ive ever wore, ill probably trash them soon.

I use straps, I can just see skate shoes being too wide...Any feedback on that?

I've always rode barefoot. Trying to get out of the habit.

the converse all stars create blisters without socks.especially when wet and walking.cause its just canvas on your feet.ask me how i know.

i know thats right. i was wearing converse low tops without socks and they tore me up so i switched back to skate shoes which worked great since my ski doesnt have turf around the footholds yet

Wresting shoes are the ticket
low profile, Light weight, possible to swim in,
And skate shoes get blown off by the jet.

i had the same problem because i didnt have laces in my shoes then i laced em up and problem solved

i can see wrestling shoes being nice because of what jd91t said but i felt more comfortable while riding in the skate shoes...i have never tried wrtestling shoes and i intend to but DEFINATLY DO NOT want to wear converse or chucks or whatever w/o at least having neoprene or some sort of socks. im going to try the penny loafers tomorrow tho they make the most sense ;)

anyone know anything about the "gecko" ride boots from blowsion???

Those are the Jettribe boots. I had a pair, but my feet are too wide so I sold them. They were comfortable and had good grip. One of my riding buddies has some too. He loves them.
