mcdog, be sure to give a review on your covers when you get them. I live on the lake too and need to cover my ski so the sun doesnt beat down on it when not in use.
I'll let McDog post his review's this summer, but I used that cover all last year and left my ski either beached on the edge of my yard at the waters edge or on my lift. All in the GA sun x 4 mos...brought it inside in October. I had no fading and the cover kept a real snug fit all summer. I like the zippers for access without taking the whole cover off. i'm real happy with that cover and price.
Yes, because there are a lot of companies out there that sell great covers. What sets certain companies apart is their prices and their level of service.
I personally have friends that also have on-line stores that return customer calls two weeks later, if ever.
I know that at So Cal Covers we do a great job and that is what will set us apart over time.
Yes anyone that leaves their ski outside near the water knows the damage that can happen from the sun and marine environment.
So I am in need of a new cover because my stock cover sucks. I used to have a Slippery cover for my old SJ, but gave it to the buyer. Now it looks like they are not making them anymore. The reason I liked that cover was because it was heavy duty, heavy material, and it was waterproof. When I took it off my ski was not dirty (like happens now with stock cover).
Also my stock cover is like a petri dish of mold. That never happened with the Slippery cover.
I went through the posts here and compiled a list of working URL's to covers. If anyone has a suggestion or new info please post. Also what does anyone think of that last cover, it is sooo cheap.
If I had to buy another one that wasnt stock I would buy a Jettribe one, I have 2 different colored stock covers for my SJ and really like the fit of both of them (granted the ski only stays outside covered for a week during my vacation in July, the rest of the time its in my garage), I had a slippery one for my seadoo GSX and it was difficult to put on and after a few years got faded and hard..that ski sat outside all summer tho..
