Super Jet best way to clean the crank?

just pulled a 61x motor from a wave plaster to put in my sj. past owner started pulling the motor apart for a top end rebuild and left it wide open in the elements for who knows how long. every thing cleaned up nicely. the only thing i wasnt sure about was the crank. there was a lot of gunk sitting in the bottom of the lower case so the crank was marinating in it. before i pulled the motor apart the crank still turned bearings seemed ok. what would be the best way to clean the crank and get all that gunk out? any help would be awsome, thanks.

The crank was sitting in liquid? If it was anything other than gas, diesel, or oil, replace the crank.

it smelled and looked like dirty gas and oil, didnt see any beads of water. just saw that jetworks does crank rebuilds so thinking maybe a rebuild just to be safe?
