Best way to clean?

this ride plate. Just bought ski and not sure what its sat in, what is this and what will take it off? I used a wire brush on a drill to get the flat areas but before I scrape all the little squares I wonder what I could spray on or dip it in? Thought about CLR but it says not to use on aluminum.

If its corrosion the best way to remove it to to media blast it. I have a small hand held media blaster and I use just regular baking soda.

Thanks, but I dont have a media blaster...anyone know where a good, small hand held is at? Anyone have an idea how much a shop would charge to sandblast then powder coat it?

I would ask a local shop for blasting and coating , simple stuff just blast and dip I had some done in black for $ 30 a piece....saves the hassle.....

It's cheaper to sell that one and buy one that is done.

Find someone in mechanic school and throw them a 5 spot to do it in class.
