Best way to restrict dual cooling and keep the engine hot in the fall/winter?

Running dual cooling into the exhaust manifold. Is it better to restrict the water coming off the head and pipe, or to restrict it coming into the exhaust manifold?

Those cold fusion pissers are cool but don't offer nearly as much restriction as you'd think. It might be possible to extend the threads to let them close further but I haven't experimented with that yet.

Same here; little to none

The jetworks style works well. I use the quick release version of this

Use the brass seat from a worn needle and seat. You can drill it to any size you need. It will fit perfectly into cooling li es. I keep 2 or 3 different sizes zip tied together for quick change and to keep from losing them.
I run a B pipe and restrict the flow after the pipe that way it creates a better spray for the pipe.

This is how I have done it forever also. I have sets of 2mm and 3mm that I run in the winter time...I use little SS hose clamps to hold them in place. Works great!

Thats a great idea!

I run a copper tee:

I just run a T on the inbound cooling line to feed both manifold ports. You get almost the same effect of dual cooling by putting water in both ports but you are slowing down the volume a little bit. My sprayer rifles out plenty of water and it's quite nice with how warm it is. Not hot, but very nice and cozy warm :D

I thought about this, but it defeats the purpose for me. I run too encase one of the lines gets plugged or comes off etc.

I just go by feel, I feel my motor whenever i have my hood off, so i know what feels about right. I know, that doesn't help you any, but thats just what i do.

I find that my ski likes to be almost too hot to touch. I can still put my hand on the block but not for long. If its too cold it will always run rich and not properly vaporize the fuel. After all, part of the proper mix is heat to convert the raw charge into vapor. Just don't aim for too much heat or you will be playing Russian Roulette with your engine. Right now I have to run single input T'd, my second line feeds my pipe. I had one line fall out of the bottom of the exhaust manifold. That made things get hot quickly lol.
