Best Way to Store Carbs

Upgrading carbs but want to keep my 38s as backup/spares. Curious the best way to store them so they will be good to go if I ever need them. Basically what should I do to the carbs so they don't get all gunked up or the seals etc fail.

Same as above. I spray wd40 into the fuel inlets, pulse and returns also. i just figure it might keep the orings and whatever moist?! Seems to work. I have rebuilt 1 carb ever.

you could spray down with wt40 or coat with oil, then store in ziplock bag and remove all air..............
Best to remove diaphrams now, most likely you would need to replace before using again due to them drying out.

WD -40 is a solvent and not a good preservative, it will wash oils off and evaporate leaving parts very bare and exposed over time. Spray some on something and watch it over the course of a few weeks and see what remains. Better off using fuel mixed with heavy premix two stroke oil, Like 10:1

The fuel will easily carry the oil deep into the carb and when it evaporates it will leave the oil behind.

Raced Moto my whole life and have raising 3 kids racing every summer. I have tried it all and Nothing will preserve and prolong chain life like premix fuel. The fuel cleans and brings the oil deep into pins and rollers and when it evaporates the chain feels like new. Have been using that method on lots of stuff for years, yes, even carbs.
