Let it soak in a bucket of it.... Scrubbed it.... Rinsed and repeated.... did nothing... Purple Power got all the grease out and made it white again...

An old fuel tank has a lot of vapor. I would not suggest going near it with a heat gun.
Yeah it does work on dirtbike fenders where they bend and turn white, or on chalky black steering nozzle, but a fuel tank will explode lol!!

Yea, bleach won't do anything.. You have to use hydrogen peroxide and some other chemicals combined to make a gel and then put in a clear bag, in direct sunlight. (Bleaching like you would hair)
Just flush the tank with your cars exhaust (co2) first and you'll be fine.

Not sure if joking or serious ... You try it first, make sure to get it on video!!
Seems like you can paint. They note that you have to seal the inside or else it's gonna bubble after time when gas permeates.
