l still don't believe you asked me to use my new freak as a guinea pig!!!
On the FX1 the hood is nearly against the pole bracket so you would have to build something into the bracket itself. The style of the aftermarket catch already available seems to work very well without over engineering it, there is no flat area between the hood and bracket.I think a variation of this may work on the FX-1's as well . Fx guys chime in .
Bump for power house performance ...
I will be making some more of these if any one is interested. Just have a few out for testing so far so good ... Everyone seems to really like them once they try it. I'll post a price next run should be a little cheaper than traditional hood hook options . Just depends on machine time and coatings . First batch was powder coated but would like to anodize the next ( black only really don't want to get into different colors such for such limited market ) .
Kevin
Kevin, I have to say this hood latch is a must for a Superfreak and probably a lot of other AM hulls!! Combined with the Jetmaniac brap stap kit my circus was water tight. I rode it under water like a submarine a few times during testing and not once did it ingest a drop of water. It does a great job putting that extra squish on the front of the hood to make a water tight seal. If you postion the stud right it also does a great job limiting how far forward the hood sets on the ski. No more messing around with getting the 2 hood brackets lined up anymore, just drop the hood on till the stud is all the way up in the fork latch and done!...perfect hood alignment everytime
Great product Kevin!
