I put my battery right in front of the water box under the chamber. Dave at the clinic built me a carbon box. Only place I could fit a deka. Loving my g3. So happy I didn't trade it. Flipped it my 3rd ride, its routine off boat wakes. No problem on my own setup either. I'm 245 lbs and only have a 850! The g3 kicks arse!
Sweet dude! I' glad you kept it too. I know how much I loved my freak, but after riding the BG3 I knew where I wanted to go next. SO stoked you are flippin and rippin. I'm still tuning on mine. Waiting on some parts now, so I can do some more tuning. Hull is bitchin, just have to get my steering, pipe, jetting sorted out. And I broke a motor mount again lol! Hoping to have it in good shape by next weekend. Hopefully get down and ride with you guys some time soon. Definitely late summer!
I couldn't get my battery in front of the power box. No room and my battery is a tad taller than a deka.
Here's some pics of what's in and solid now. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Had to take out one insert, and put in a few more, but I dig it. Tank / pod is in sideways tight to the front cover, made my own battery box from some 17 oz. biax. Some turf under the battery and also on the bottom side of the box. Also used the supplied foam blocks from Powerfactor. The large block is glued to the hull under the center of the exp chamber. Between where the power box, headpipe and large foam block are located it's very solid. I used the other supplied block under the battery box I made. Had to do minor shaping to both foam blocks to get them to form to the hull and be tight. There is room in there to fit a stock sized battery. I want to run a Ballistic, but am waiting for the reliability to come around first. I'll tidy it up more when I have time, but for now I can ride how I want and not worry about anything coming loose. Post any suggestions fellas. They're always appreciated.
